This mare truly is something royal, and she knows it. A winner of Mare Shows in Germany and the U.S. she is by Sir Donnerhall, winner of his Stallion Performance Test, a multiple Buncheschampionate winner in Germany, and Reserve Young Horse World Champion in Verden. "Royal" exhibits his gaits and captivating elegance, all the way to the tips of her curved ears - the "special ears" she so clearly inherited from her sire.
As a 2 year old, Royal won her division at the large Bruchhausen-Vilsen, Germany, mare show in a class of over 30 fillies. Described by Dr. Axle Brockmann (Director, Hanoverian State Stud in Celle) as typifying the "ideal modern mare type with outstanding gaits and presence," she exhibits an elegant, uphill self-carriage, and an equal extravagance in all 3 gaits.
She was designated a States Premium Mare Candidate after her Mare Performance Test in Hoya, Germany, in June 2008, and received one of the highest rideability scores from the test rider - 8.5! The American Hanoverian Society has awarded her Elite Mare status based on her Performance Test in Germany.
Her first foal,
Heirloom, a 2009 colt by Hampton (His Highness - SPS Red Chili by Rotspon), already displays his mother's presence, gaits and incredible balance and self-carriage.
Royal has produced a gorgeous bay filly,
Flip Side by Fuerst Romancier, born April 6.
Royal has produced a dark Bay Filly by Don Frederico in February 2012 and will be bred to Blue Hors Romanov for 2013.
